CP-Idaho is preparing to host the 2020 Boise Debate for our declared presidential candidates. The element of time now enters the strategic planning in earnest.
Concurrently, our webmaster Dr. Scott Henry of Coeur d'Alene, has been busy at work on our website remodel--moving to a entirely different platform, local server provider and, as you can see, to a new design. It is work in process.
Once done, however, we will be in better shape to accept the increased website traffic that is always associated with a General Election year. Thus, Dr. Henry's ongoing revamp of www.cpidaho.org is crucial to be able to bring a working and loadable political website into the 2020 fight.
For the bulk of the present year, we have somewhat necessarily relied upon our facebook page for posting our state party's new content and commentaries--https://www.facebook.com/ConstitutionPartyofIdaho As most who use the facebook service know by now, it can be an unreliable forum. Apparently at whim, the facebook folks can censure material and even lock out the page itself should content be declared politically incorrect enough. Fairness dictates that we add that CP-Idaho has yet to experience censorship on facebook, but others have, and for a variety of reasons.
For confidentiality, we ask our members to submit their presidential candidate questions directly to the State Chairman's pass protected This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Questions submitted will be reviewed for inclusion into the Boise Debate question set by the debate monitors. Those that are placed into the queue, will be credited. For that reason, we ask that submitted questions contain the name, town, and state of the inquirer. In addition, we ask for a verifiable facebook page. The only reason for this is because we want to make sure (to the extent we are able) that the questions are from genuine citizens.
Priority will be given to questions from CP-Idaho registered voters, and to Idaho Unaffiliated voters. Registration information should be l more or less be confirmable from the Voter List supplied by the Secretary of State. That said, we will definitely include salient questions from our fellow citizen voters across this great nation should their submitted questions fit into the debate format. In general, our debate questions are divided into two major components--Domestic Policy and International Relations. Obviously within these two broad topics, a host of specific subjects exist. For example, federal deficit spending and the need to downsize the federal estate would fall under Domestic Policy. Bilateral trade with the United Kingdom which is expected to exit the E.U. would be International Relations.
We at CP-Idaho would like to see what questions our fellow citizens have that are most important to them. Sometimes we find issues that we did not expect to be high on the list of concerns. For example, in the subject of Energy in our 2016 Boise Debate, the question of the security of an aging and inadequate electricity grid came up. For those who have followed the news, that issue which CP-Idaho addressed in 2016 is very much at the forefront today, in California's sparked wildfires.
Anyhow, hit us with your questions and issues of concern. We are shaping the debate format, redesigning our state party's official website, and moving forward with development of a viable and strong third party alternative in Idaho, the Gem State as we enter the 21st centuries quarter mark. If not us, then who? If not now, then when? If not here, when where? Rise! Stand Up! Stand Together! FWW. Out.

We will be posting updates to this work in process here on our website, and will be carrying on the conversation on our facebook page. We urge our presidential candidates to notify CP-Idhao regarding any campaign events during the 90 day pre-rpimary period. We will post those notices on this, our state party's website, as well.

December 11, 2019. At close of business today, the presidential candidacy declaration window closes, and the 90 day pre-primary window opens.
During the pre-primary period, a hive of activity will take place, not the least of which will be preparations for the "Boise Debate" on February 29, 2020. This debate will be our 2nd public debate of Constitution Party of Idaho candidates. Already, we are in a bigger league.
By way of background, in 2016, our state party took a different, far more difficult path, than did the national party. We believed then, as we believe now, that proxy balloting based on national convention delegates supposedly "voting their conscious" is an anathema to liberty, a grotesque mutation of representative democratic process and a surefire route to the imposition of theocracy.
CP-Idaho stood against this dangerous proxy ballot scheme. Again, without demonstrable proof of direct preference ballots from the electorate, those "conscious voting" individual delegates have no evidence that they are representative. Proxy ballots for election purposes are expressly forbidden under parliamentary rules, and therefore, because the national party felt that it too (like its counterpart duopoly) could ignore those rules meant that CP-Idaho could not longer travel with them, not unless we too would abide hypocrisy.
In 2020, CP-Idaho is an unaffiliated ballot qualified state political party. What we find encouraging is that, for all the rancor shown to us, several national CP candidates have also parted with the national party and are seeking our sovereign state party's primary nomination. We take that as a tacit admission that CP-idaho was absolutely correct in 2016 to refuse to disfranchise our Idaho voters in what we considered then (and still do) to be a corrupt process of semblance over factual substance.
Regardless, CP-Idaho wishes to extend our gratitude to our presidential candidates who are standing in the 2020 primary. Our citizen candidates' determination to provide a voice and an alternative to the many unheard and unrepresented merits our thanks. For this is what our nation's founders had in mind all along...the true check and balance of a competitive political process over our government.
At this point, midday December 11, 2019, we have four presidential primary candidates. CP-Idaho appeals to all of our presidential candidate campaigns to establish and keep contact with CP-Idaho. With only a mere 90 days remaining until the statewide primary poll, much work is required so as to insure that CP-Idaho stands well-versed and well-reasoned candidates before our Gem State electorate. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the true prize.
We also appeal to our registered CP-Idaho voters. Please lend a hand by your generous donations and by volunteering your precious time. We, CP-Idaho, cannot easily do our work without your support. Lastly, may God preserve and keep our republic. Esto perpetua.

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho—The Constitution Party of Idaho (CP-Idaho) is pleased to announce that Mr. Darcy Richardson of Florida has declared his Idaho primary candidacy for President of the United States under the CP-Idaho banner. Richardson intends to run in the party’s March 10th presidential primary, which will be open to registered CP-Idaho voters and Idaho unaffiliated voters.
Mr. Richardson, 63, is an author, historian, blogger and political activist and has been an expert witness in recent ballot-access lawsuits in Georgia and Texas. In 2018, he ran for Governor of Florida under the Reform Party and placed third in a widely watched race decided by a mere 32,000 votes.
Mr. Richardson, invited to participate in the third quarter 2019 CP-Idaho State Central Committee conference call, stressed that the burgeoning federal debt, at over $22 trillion, and endless federal operating deficits are our nation’s greatest existential risks. A central plank in the Richardson 2020 campaign is paying down the federal debt. “It must be dealt with,” said Richardson.
Among other issues, resolving unrestrained and undocumented immigration will be “a big component” of his campaign. “We are being overrun,” Richardson told members of the CP-Idaho Central Committee during the call.
Richardson conveyed a personal loss of an immediate family member by an immigrant in a hit-and-run accident. Because the driver — a recent immigrant from Laos — didn’t speak English, he was never prosecuted. Richardson believes legal rulings must return to practical sense or justice will be unattainable by American citizens.
Darcy Richardson can be reached by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone @ (904) 327-9069.
